Security + Pre-Test

I took my Security + pre-test in my Darril Gibson book a few days ago, and I got a 68% on it. While CompTIA doesn’t do strict percentages, I’d like to get a comfortable 80-90% in order to consider myself ready. The good news is that a lot of it seemed like stuff that I’ve already seen or could reason my way through. Most of the questions that I missed were ones regarding networking security. I know that’s probably my weakest point, along with just not knowing some of the acronyms. I think that I can gain 10% a month. I’ve scheduled my exam date for April 2nd. I have six practice exams that I can take in the meantime to gauge some of my progress, and each chapter of my book has some questions at the end of it. I also was able to find an app for android (I’m sure it’s on iOS too). I was happy to find an app for my phone, when I was studying for my A+ the app I had was a great resource to study while I was on breaks, lunch, etc. All in all I’m happy with the way my study schedule is shaping up.
